Walking the 12 Steps Retreat
Everyone is welcome to join us for a meaningful weekend focused on the 12 steps of recovery as a design for living.
August 14-16
Friday 6 pm to Sunday noon
Join us as we lean into our collective journey through the steps. Whether you are a person new to sobriety, returning, or practicing these principles in all your affairs, this retreat is designed in the spirit of AA’s preamble, “....that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism”.
Facilitated by a group of fellow AA’s who believe in the following idea:
“AA’s Twelve Steps are a group of principles. Spiritual in their nature, which, if practiced as a way of life, can expel the obsession to drink and enable the sufferer to become happily and usefully whole.” - Foreword: Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions, Alcoholics Anonymous World Services
The weekend will be an opportunity to share our experience, strength and hope as we trudge the road of happy destiny. The weekend will comprise five interactive sessions that will include breakouts for individual, one on one, and small group activities rooted in fellowship and fun!
Out-of-town visitors and locals alike are welcome to join us for this retreat. Registration includes Saturday lunch and dinner. All other meals are available for an additional donation with pre-registration. Beverages and snacks will be provided. Space is limited.
PLEASE NOTE: The cost of this retreat does not include lodging. Lodging is separate. There are rooms available at The Wilson House, first come first served. After registering for the retreat you will receive a code to access the rooms for this weekend.
