The Alcoholics Anonymous Traditions: what it was like before them, what happened, what it is like now.

The presentation will include the early history of AA (the flying blind period), the 1939 introduction of the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, the 1941 Jack Alexander Saturday Evening Post article on AA, the exponential growth of AA that followed and the need to find a foundation to preserve our society for generations to come. The Traditions first presented by Bill W as 12 Suggested Points in a 1946 Grapevine essay and later adapted in their short form at the first International Convention in 1950 will be reviewed.
